What is poentles?

Poentles (point lace) is a traditional craft technique of making lace and embroidery, used for doilies, table runners and tablecloths.

The technique combines a crocheted or corded foundation with delicate needle-lace filling stitches: every stitch is made with a needle, without a single machine.

That is why every poentles piece is one of a kind — no two patterns are ever fully identical, and slight variations are the signature of the hand that made them.

Care is simple: wash at low temperatures, air dry and iron from the reverse — the lace will then last for decades.
